In Budget 2014 the finance minister announced the introduction of the Home Renovation Incentive. This will give the home owner a rebate of 13.5% on any renovation works carried out between €5,000 and €30,000 during 2014 and 2015. The rebate will be rewarded in the form of tax credits and will be paid to the home owner in the 2 years after the renovation work has been completed.
