Kosher Kitchens

Overview

For over 30 years we have been designing and manufacturing the very best Kosher Kitchens for our international and Irish clients. The requirement to separate meat and dairy products calls for a carefully planned and thoughtful kitchen design, with a deep understanding of what make a kitchen Kosher.

Our Kosher Kitchens are designed to allow for duplicate storage and preparation areas - two sinks, two ovens, two storage areas for pots and cooking utensils. So from the very outset we ensure that your Kosher designed kitchen is beautifully styled, functional and built to last. That’s why all of our Kosher Kitchens come with our exclusive Lifetime Guarantee.

Kosher kitchens have some very specific requirements that, we can accommodate for both our modern and classical designs. Designing a modern or classical Kosher kitchen based around certain dietary considerations can be hugely beneficial for a client. When it comes to Judaism these dietary laws, known as kashrut, define which foods are permitted in the home and how these foods must be stored and prepared. For example kashrut adherents keep meat and dairy separate so it is crucial that our Kosher kitchens are designed and equipped to accommodate this.

So what are the main features of our Kosher kitchens…

As mentioned above, we usually design our Kosher kitchens with two sinks and two ovens, but some of our clients would prefer two dishwashers and two refrigerators too. Once we have these requirements from the start of the process we can ensure that all your needs are catered for. Kosher kitchens require more design considerations than your average kitchen, so please allow up to 4 weeks for our Kosher kitchen design process.

In our Kosher kitchen design we recommend a hard work surface. Quartz, granite and marble worktops are easy to maintain with Silestone quartz or Dekton being non-porous. Since the separation of dairy and meat product also applies to food preparation, any porous materials like solid wood, can lead to contamination. If the space allows for it, we would prefer to have two separate worktop zones for meat and dairy.
